Come down - the Dandy Warhols

I bought this one mainly because I like 'Not if you were the last junkie on earth', the first hit single taken from this album. And maybe because at that time there were no other good new albums being released.
Anyway, somewhere I had seen a good review of it so I bought it.
I liked the album immediately. It has a slightly psychedelic rocking pop sound with enough catchy hooks to demand your attention from the first time on.
Especially 'Everyday should be a holiday', later, it turned out to be the next hit single. I really dig that freaking tickling guitar right after the refrain.
But I'm afraid it's not an album that stands the test of time in a big way. It has several good songs ('Boys better', 'Minnesoter', 'I love you', 'Hard on for Jesus' and surely 'Cool as Kim Deal') but there is also some boring psychedelic guitar... eh... stuff on 'Pete International Airport' and 'Orange' and I'm not very impressed by this. These few black spots spoil the fun for me.
It's not bad, but I don't play it all the time.
But what I do from time to time is glancing my eyes over the song titles because they're spot on and excellent. .(Prinz William)

All soundclips are in Real Audio format. Quality may differ and is generally acceptable - though never as good as CD or MP3 music.
