F-words - Autopulver

Sometimes I read a raving review of an album and then I get this scratching urge behind my ears to buy this new product. It's like a surprise - is it really that good or is it hyped crap?
Autopulver is a Norwegian band and still completely unknown in the big world. You notice immediately all songs start with the letter F. You start to doubt as you load it into your music system.
The first song 'Fun fair ' hit me far beyond my expectations. It's a rock song that kicks off exactly the way I like it, full of promises and with a very catchy refrain 'You're the kind of girl... the girl that I want... you're the kind of girl... the girl that I need...'. This is a damn cool song, it's my favorite and you already sing it along on the first time, something that goes for most of the songs in fact, if not all.
More sing-alongs are 'Fruitcat', 'Frisbee', 'Flycatcher', 'Forever' (with the statement 'Rock'n roll is here to stay' !).
Too bad I bought the album immediately, because one year later in the summer of '99 the band covered 'Being boring' (Pet Shop Boys), released it on single and added it as a bonus track on that years 'F-words' pressings.
The band has the musical energy of the Presidents of the USA (but not the insanity) with a little bit of Squeeze in it and I like it. However, I find it hard to listen continuously to it. I get exactly the same feeling when I eat way too much delicious candy.
Though enjoying these songs from time to time is just... delicious. .(Prinz William)

All soundclips are in Real Audio format. Quality may differ and is generally acceptable - though never as good as CD or MP3 music.
