Eleven - 22 Pistepirkko

From Finland. And they already have a big rep in Scandinavia. And now they've made something that good it makes you fly. I bought it because of several good reviews, without having heard one second of it.
It's fabulous. The very first time I put it in my stereo I expected some great rock tinted music with many influences, kinda like Beck (a reviewer mentioned this).
No. It ain't. It's modest, but with a lot of pleasure and a lot of love for music. You can hear this. It's music that gives you the goose bums and makes you smile. The band must have been in an extremely good mood when they pulled this thing together.
It's addicting, it's fragile, it's intimate, and when the moment is there (and there is a moment in most songs), it's exuberant. And you can dance on it too. But mostly it makes you feel soooo good, it's one of the best albums I ever bought and I'm looking to buy more 22 Pistepirkko stuff - if I can find it.
My true favorite is 'Hey man', it's a song you cherish - I only listen to it with a glass of wine in my hand and a cozy fire in the fireplace. It's a song that deserves the best of moments.
Other favorites are 'Sad Lake City', 'Taxi 74', 'Boardroom walk' and... well, I should name them all I guess. There's really no black spot on this album. It starts off perfect and it ends perfect, in between heaven. Did I already mention 'Beautiful morning' - it rivals easily with 'Perfect day' by Lou Reed.
I only would have liked it... to be a little bit longer. .(Prinz William)

All soundclips are in Real Audio format. Quality may differ and is generally acceptable - though never as good as CD or MP3 music.
