This herfstmeeting (autumn meeting) is in fact part of a Special Car Happening
initiated by the Maaslandse Porsche Club in cooperation with the C.C.C. and the
Belgische Rallycross vereniging for the benefit of Home Fabiola, a holiday resort
for disabled people.
A lot of other automobile clubs show up as well, all making it possible for disabled
people and visitors to participate in the passion and style of exotic cars.
In return for a small fee of 100 Bfr (2.50$) one can enjoy a ride (as passenger)
in a favorite car on the local race-track or through the neighborhood. The money
goes to the Home Fabiola. Children just love it and beg their parents to buy them
rides in several of these not-everyday-cars.
This was the 2nd time I visited the event.
The weather started sunny and bright, but dark clouds gathered in the afternoon
making it a lousy whether to take pictures (hey, it's a valid excuse).
