I think dad got into scale modeling somewhere in the 1960s.
His first model was an 1/32 scale Airfix 1930 Bentley but pretty soon his interest shifted
to aircraft.
This is the oldest part of his collection.
It dates from the days before I had a reliable memory because I don't recall dad working on any
of these models. These are the models that had always been there. Some of them are older
than me.
For a long period of time they were stuffed together in big boxes in the attic.
I figured these models deserved a fate much better than this so I decided to dedicate
some galleries to them. I really love to look at models so making pictures of them
proved to be a real pleasure.
I like to stress one thing though ;
Please do keep in mind these models were build during the late 1960s - early 1970s.
In those days plastic scale modeling standards weren't as high as they are today, so enjoy
them as what they are: models build more than 30 years ago.
