Gallery		7th International Painting Competition (2001)
		March 3th/4th 2001 Organization : Antwerp Model Soldier Society Location : Centrum Oosterveld, Wilrijk-Antwerpen (Belgium) This was the first time for me to visit this show. I had picked up a flyer of this miniature figure show on another plastic scale model happening on an earlier date and I was pretty curious about what they had to offer. I consider miniature figures still to be the most difficult subject to model. This show is a yearly happening initiated by the Antwerp Model Soldier Society and it's all about figure modeling (that's right, no planes, no tanks, no cars...). Lots of miniature figures on show and a few trade stands. I visited the event on both days to take as much pictures as I could and to admire some stunning models. Too bad there wasn't much light in the building, despite a lot of small spotlights standing on the tables. Most pictures aren't that good but I hope you can get an idea of the remarkable craftsmanship that went into these models.
